Woke up this morning with a buzz of positive energy. Not manic, not forced — just that subtle inner current that says,
“Yes, today has something good waiting.”
I sat in silence for a bit, letting the breath do what it does,
followed by some gentle stretching — enough to wake the limbs, not break them.
Then, a cold shower. Sharp. Clean.
A baptism of sorts to ready myself for whatever this day may bring.
And it brought something right away:
My son, looking pale, holding his cheek, with a toothache. Possibly a fever.
And then came the voice of reason: my daughter.
Straightforward. Firm. Loving, but no-nonsense.
“You both need to go to the dentist. Bad breath, Baba. It's time.”
Oof. Truth wrapped in care.
Sometimes, the medicine stings more than the sickness, but it’s needed.
So here we are —
The old lion and the cub, both needing a little fixing.
But it's okay. This is how healing begins —
With a little honesty, a nudge, and someone who loves you enough to say,
"Baba, your breath is tragic."
And still, the energy remains positive.
Because even this —
aches, scoldings, dental fears —
is part of the dance of life.
And yes…
Today is Friday.
