“O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting,
by Your Mercy I seek relief.
Set all my affairs right,
and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.”

This morning, I rose before the sun.

The Asma’ul Husna echoed softly in the background—sacred Names swirling through the still air.
I made wudhu, not just to cleanse my limbs, but to prepare my soul for presence.

And with a quiet heart, I whispered:
“Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum.”
The words did not come from my tongue.
They came from the marrow of my being.

🕊 The Ever-Living and the Self-Subsisting

Ya Hayyu—He Who is Alive beyond beginning or end.
Every heartbeat, every breath, every blink of consciousness is a whisper from His endless life.

Ya Qayyum—He Who stands on His own, and sustains all else.
The One who carries the stars and my struggles, the One who holds up my hopes when I fall into doubt.

I felt the Names echo not just in the room—but within my very blood.

🪶 A Whisper from the Masters

In that stillness, I felt as though I were conversing with the great ones:
Muhyiddin Ibn Ê¿Arabi—the master of Unity,
and Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani—the great reviver of hearts.

Not in fantasy—but in resonance.
Their words, like gentle thunder, began to stir within me.

“You are not the doer, O seeker,”
“You are the doorway.”
“Become hollow like the flute, and the Divine breath will sing through you.”

And I remembered…
I have not walked this path alone.
I have been carried.

🌿 A Practice for the Ones Who Remember

If your soul stirs when you hear these Names,
if you find yourself weeping for no reason while the dzikir hums,
then perhaps you, too, are of the same caravan.

Say this slowly, with your heart:

"Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum,
Bi rahmatika astagheeth.
Aslih li sha'ni kullahu,
Wa la takilni ila nafsi tarfata 'ayn."

Then listen.

Let the Names open you.
Let the sorrow soften.
Let the silence grow fragrant.

You are not abandoned.
You are being gently turned inward.

🕯 Final Offering

I offer this not as a teacher,
but as a soul like yours—tired, tender, awakening.
And if, in these words, you feel the breath of Ibn Ê¿Arabi or hear the footsteps of Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani walking quietly beside us…

Then take it as a sign.

You have been called.
And He never calls except to bring you home.

Alhamdulillah.
Let the bell of your heart ring softly through this morning light.

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum.
