When Silence Becomes a Companion

When Silence Becomes a Companion

There comes a time when searching no longer serves.
A time when answers, no matter how eloquent, feel hollow.
And so we stop.
Not in defeat, but in surrender.
Not because we’ve given up, but because we’ve finally let go.

It all comes back to patience.

Not the kind that waits nervously for something to arrive,
But the sacred kind—
the kind that bears the weight of pain without complaint,
The kind that lets heaviness press against the chest
and still finds breath to stay.

The soul begins to shed what is no longer needed:
the questioning,
the regret,
The need to explain or be understood.

And in this space, silence arrives.
Not as emptiness,
but as a presence.
A gentle companion who asks for nothing,
but stays.

No more reaching.
No more grasping.
No more needing the world to make sense.

Because suddenly, it does.

The answer has always been right here.
But only now, with the noise quieted,
can we see it?

Sometimes the soul does not need a solution.
It only needs space.
It only needs stillness.
It only needs to be held by silence,
by grace,
by God.

Subhanallah wabiham dihi!
