"A Studio by the Sea: One Final Offering to the Children of Terengganu"
Dear Friends, Seekers, and Strangers who’ve followed my journey,
At 75, after decades of wandering, sketching, learning, and teaching, I find myself longing for one final act of service. A gift. Not to the world at large, but to a small corner of it. I wish to return to the East Coast of Malaysia—to Terengganu—where the sea and kampung spirit still whisper truths the city has long forgotten.
My dream is simple:
-
To create a humble art studio—a sanctuary for sketching, reflection, and healing.
-
To slowly open it as a gallery, filled not only with my life’s work but with the beauty of local children’s expressions.
-
To teach art to children, free of charge, offering them what was once given to me—a path to self-discovery, a place to belong.
I have no pension. I live with my children, grateful for their love. But I believe that this next step—this final fire of creative and spiritual giving—is one I must walk.
So I turn to you—my readers, fellow seekers, and strangers who've sat with my words over the years.
If you feel moved to support this vision, be it with:
-
Art supplies,
-
A kampung contact,
-
Shelter space,
-
A word of encouragement,
-
Or a small donation to help me relocate,
…then you are part of this dream now, too.
Let us create something beautiful, together. Something that can outlive us both.
With deep love and humble hope,

Are you going to relocate alone?
Wow it's going to be a big journey at 75! All the best to you and may everything is at ease. Hope you can share more about what's gonna be different between living in Penang & in Terengganu. What about your family's reaction?
