There is God here.

After all the excitement and the relief that all has gone smoothly as far as the transition of government where the former ruling party has given way for the newly elected government to lay down its plan for the future of this country, I feel like there is a God after all or should I say Gods. We would not be saying malaysia is a multi-Racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious country, if there is only one faith or one God. No, I do not think there is any other country in the world that can claim to have so many varieties of Gods and deities, so many days to celebrate as a Holy-days as this country and it is a wonder some say that not much work gets done here due to public holidays. As I have often enough made the observation in the past, nowhere in the world is the Malays more Malays and the Chinese more Chinese and the Indians more Indians than here where they all live side by side along with other religions and races, it is a competitive venture for all.

What the GE14 has proven is that the racial and religious cards being exploited are no more credible as the opposition party has managed to unite the nation transcending all barriers and bring the force of the united people's power to end a corrupted regime. Your God and my God, your beliefs and my faith has answered our prayers in a unified whole, our collective consciousness has manifested a reality we all desire for and now we have won. Collectively we have said enough is enough, we the people will not be taken for a ride any longer and we demand accountability for all the mismanagement of our government through the rule of law. We the people demand a 'spring cleaning' of the judicial system and a mopping up of all that has been corrupted by the previous government. We look to our future elected leaders to fulfill all the obligations that comes with their status and all the promises made.

We the people collectively salute our elected leaders for their courageous leadership and their infinite wisdom that has brought this nation the respect the she deserves in the eyes of the world. Through your collective effort Malaysia has proven that democracy is alive and well in this part of the globe. Today I can safely say that I am a proud Malaysian and I can look back and say that my generation has left a shining legacy for the future generations of this country. May all the Gods and deities, may all the spirits, sages and saints and may Allah bless this Nation and her people.

Written on this day the 13th. f May, a date that reminds all in this country of the bloody riots and carnage that took place after the 1969 General Election.
