A walk on the wild side-again.

Hutan/ air terjun Sekayu, Sekayu  reserved forest and water falls in Ulu Terenggnau, Kuala Brang

I was here in the early sixties when the place was just discovered.  I camped out here with an American Geo-Seismic Surveyor from Continental oil Company a part of the ESSO Exploration oil discovery research. I was a radio operator for Bristow Helicopters Company which was servicing the Exploration Rigs out in the South China Sea. This was before Petronas came into existence.

The place has gone to the dumps as with most of these scenic parks where those who frequent these places are no better than litterbugs and could not tell the difference between a dirty diaper from a mushroom. Plastic bags and water bottles are the main ingredient of te environmental decadence.

The lack of rain saw the water level way down and the waterfalls not as dramatic.

Terengganu's natural  landscape and parks are slowly diminishing and not well guarded or care for by the authorities. There is a whole lot of construction and very little maintenance or upkeep of these facilities.

When nature calls it does not mean you have to go to the toilet.
In the forest, leaves comes in all shapes and sizes

I will never forget how i almost lost my life diving off this waterfall during one of my visits in my younger days and did not know any better.
