My works since arrival in Dubai

I find the quiet and spacious villa to be most conducive towards my being able to create my works. Perhaps it aso has to do with the fact that it is my son's home and as such it feels safe and secure for me as i have bever had a place of my own in my entire life. The painting above if an X-Ray taken of my son's shoulder to mend his injury. Too bad i cannot get the picture rotated for better viewing.
I did this painting when i was last here in Dubai but did not finish it. Now it is finished and framed; not too bad. Strong colors and rough textures to give the effect of a foreboding landscape with a red star falling out of the sky.
This piece done on a circular canvass was done when I first visited Dubai in 2008 but it never got much appreciation as it too is still waiting for the final touch and what that may be is yet to happen.
This is what the living room at the Villa looks like; a make shift studio for his father, how can you not love the guy! This too will come to pass but for so long as i am here it is my studio where i will pour out my passion to create works of art.
These local scenes of the Dubai skyline is something a friend of my son has asked me to do and I have attempted three instead of the one she asked for.

Still in progress of the Burj Dubai, one of the most outstanding piece of modern day architecture.
This piece was done without much planning and the idea came through my sitting meditation the morning before. It is a simple theme but quite effective in execution, "Blue Moon".
The Malaysian (Mayan) calendar completed on 21 - 12 - 12 at midnight.
The Dubai Creek city skyline is an interesting combination of the old and the modern building, still in progress.

Good Bye 2012 - Hello 13

The year 2012 survived the Mayan prophecy and has managed to keep on trucking perhaps into the next millennium. I am still myself with my self doubts and perturbations, product of an ignorant dual thinking mind of which I have accepted as who I am. practice hard as I may in trying to come to understand who I am or what my potentialities might be i am still stuck with the same old rut of being caught in the routine of self doubts and low self esteem. i say this because i cannot give up in being subjected to this sense of comparing, measuring and adjusting my state of being to the next guy i confront. Its desire to be more than or better than or greater than the man who looked at me in the eye when he passed me by in the corridor. God help me, after all these years, the practices, the attempt at discipline the vows of celibacy and what not, look at where I am at.
Yes another year is slipping by and i am one more year older in this physical form, one would think that i have learned something worthwhile about life, but no, all i know is that life is still suffering and suffering is even for those who think they are free from the trials and tribulations of life. I listen to so much pains, so much uncertainty and so much disconcerted state of being here and back in Penang that I am beginning to feel like there is no end to it. What is it that we are all looking for, what do we expect, what we do we hope for: why?
Yes the world is still spinning out of whack! look at it whichever way you like, unless you are totally blind to the suffering of those in Palestine and Iraq in Syria or Libia, then you deserve the medal for being a Buddha incarnate as Buddhas are beyond caring for these worldly vexations. But if you are human and profess to save human beings from the life of suffering then you have to still sit and contemplate the state of this planet as it is; not much to brag about really. As you are the universe, it is imperative that you carry the burden of rectifying the causes of  these suffering that has fallen upon humanity; unless you are ignorant of the fact that you are the universe. In which case then you look for a scape goat to take the fall for what is transpiring around you and God is a good place to start with.
The Creator, the One who made it all happen, the One you had been taught to place your trust, faith and believe in, how could he let humanity drift into such a decaying state where life itself has become a waste.
Yes there is always the scapegoat and why not? Are you not a product of this divine madness that has allowed for the chaos that is slowly engulfing this planet and threatening to exterminate humanity itself? Why are we allowed to exist amidst our greed, hate and ignorance so much so that we have become much worse than animals? Why are we exposed and possessed by so much delusions that we have lost our sense of being human, being compassionate, being caring and forgiving;are we merely tools for some experimentation, pawns in this game of life? Good versus evil? Light against darkness and positive as opposed to negative? Are we the guinea pigs for some extensive research into what makes man better or lesser than the rest of creation?
Make your fried rice, bake your beans and punch the clock so you are on time to be where you are supposed to be; is this why you are here? Is this all there is to your life after which you are hoping and praying that it will all end and you ending up in some more pleasant environment where you do not have to worry about the fate of this planet or humanity itself anymore? Heaven, that is your ultimate goal, the place you are aiming for and if you play your cards right the seventy two vested virgins is all yours for the taking; what a lame excuse to being a man! God would have expected more out of his prime creation than just being able to stay clean enough to qualify for a place of milk and honey: He created man to excel on His behalf against all odds but man has little faith in Him only seeking to save his own skin while the Lord's Creation falls into decadence.

‎"So long as there shall exist, by reason of law and custom, a social condemnation, which, in the face of civilization, artificially creates hells on earth, and complicates a destiny that is divine, with human fatality; so long as the three problems of the age—the degradation of man by poverty, the ruin of women by starvation, and the dwarfing of childhood by physical and spiritual night—are not solved; so long as, in certain regions, social asphyxia shall be possible; in other words, and from a yet more extended point of view, so long as ignorance and misery remain on earth, books like this cannot be useless."
- preface to Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
The year 2012 is coming to an end, the year of the dragon by the Chinese calendar, an auspicious year  where revolutionary changes was meant to take place and taken place it had in many countries especially the Middle Eastern countries. As we count the days and the hours towards the new year and as we add one more year to our ages, let us contemplate, let us meditate, let's stop for a moment and take a brief look upon how far or how near we have come into being able to self exterminate ourselves through our sense of self serving justice towards our fellow man. Let us not forget our children for they will hold us accountable for what is in store for them in the future. Let us make it our vision, our goal our aspiration to leave behind us a place worth living, a place free from all the strife and chaos that our present course is leading us to end up with. If change we must then let us change for the sake of humanity each and everyone of us or there will be no change at all. You are the world and the fate of this planet is in your hands like it or not. Look closely into the eyes of your grandchild or your children and say otherwise.
As the new year approaches on the horizon let us welcome it with a renewed spirit of faith and virtue in our self and our belief, let us propagate the sense of liberation from all our ignorance and negativity and embrace the sense of Love and Compassion that is the Essence of the teachings of all the religions of our forefathers. Let us all awaken from this slumber we call life and become enlighten like those who have gone before us in a blaze of glory not in infamy. For the sake of our future let this coming year be the year we make a collective pledge to heal our decaying planet and restore it back to its former glory. Let us renounce wars, let us purify our corrupted ways and let us abandon our thirst for power and self aggrandizement. Lets us look into our hearts or hearts and claim our right to being humans again.

Dinner with the Emirates Crew -J's Birthday

Not too long ago I was sitting at the 'Mamak' coffee shop on the corner of the street very close to my home in Penang having a 'Roti canai' which cost about 3 Dirhams about 2RM Malaysia and was worried about where to get the money to fill up my gas in the Kancil (possibly the smallest car made in Malaysia). I was taken to dinner to celebrate Jason's birthday at one of the restaurants located in the Palm Resorts area; I did not ask how much it all cost!
When he was younger he wanted to fly into outer space and perhaps still has the same dream today. On the subject of teeth many horror stories were swapped between those whose teeth had been fixed by the dentist appointed by the Emirates Air and the cost is not the only issue.
I always reminded my son the be aware of not forgetting the ground he walks on when his head is far up there in the clouds as every now and then the ground has the tendency to rise up and take a bite at his rear end. The image that often creeps into my mind about this is the Movie 'The MUMMY' where in one scene the Mummy rose up in the form of a huge mouth in the form of sand from the desert below to swallow up a small plane in mid air.

Agreed! The largest piece of steak I have ever seen about to be devoured and he did do a number on it and I wondered where he shoved it all down into. It is like the shark he has in the tank back home, it feeds on a whole piece of large shrimp with one swallow and that seemed impossible to fit into his mouth in the first place. Again you do not want to ask how much that plate cost; best not to unless you are paying for it yourself.

Yes not exactly like father like son when you look at us, the artist wannabe and the pilot to leave for Pakistan or India, one of the short flights.
Nope you don't want to mess with this guy, if there is anything he takes after his dad is the mean and ugly temper which is best left untested. But underneath it all is still a heart that cares about others to a fault. Often enough it has become his undoing when it comes to being generous towards those he cares for.
It has been almost forty years now and I am watching my son with pride and much concern like all parents do. I can feel we are drifting apart as men now each doing his own thing and taking his own path and destiny in his own hands. A father can only hope for the best that his son will succeed in whatever endeavour he strive to achieve in his life and career. But there comes a time when one has to let go and simply hope and pray that the path your child walks no matter how much older and wiser he has become will not be a difficult one.
There is no measure in the value of friendship and fortunate is he whose friends are as close to him as his own family or more than so. It is not easy to earn the respect and trust of your peers but having done it it is much harder to honor and keep this forever ; there is no measure of value in who you truly are except through the relationship you have with others.

A Drive to the Dubai marina with Jason 2

I must have asked J three times at least what that car was.
Every dork (dog)  has his day and what a day I had imagining myself to be a Mafia Lord on holiday from the drug Cartel country with my tough looking body guard. There is time live your fantasy it helps to keep your mind creative and when in 'Space' just breath in the air, it could be your last breath.
Perhaps it is too late for me to try to help and change the mindset of my fellow Penangites in how to upgrade their so called 'standard of living' other than pissing away their environment through lack of awareness and care, but here is an example of what can be achieved if people are conscientious and mindful collectively. Today this Muslim city far exceeds in beauty and grandeur than most Western cities.

It is a rare sight to behold an Italian restaurant that also has a Sushi Bar, (in the background). Here's is east meeting West in the cuisine being offered.
That is a great looking Pizza but not enough anchovies!
There is enough beautiful women dressed to melt the prophets' will against staring at their endowments. Such Is!
I hope that there will be a good maintain of balance in this beautiful city such that the haves and the have nots will both enjoy the fruits of the labor that both have poured into the achievement so far. I hope greed will not take over and hate remains out of sight and I hope the universality of people who come here will forever enjoy the peace and comfort it offers even if it is for a costly price.
Where are the locals? You rarely see the flowing white robes or the black in these places where the next group that passes by is speaking a language you never heard of before, just as the last one did.

A Drive to the Dubai Marina with Jason

Jason is one of my son's closest friend if not "the closest" he has and they had been together as pilots from almost the beginning of their careers while flying in the United States for the various Airlines there. I always enjoyed his company as he is in his own way 'spirutal seeker too; so we have some common ideas to talk about.
Out of the kindeness of his heart J decided to take me out of the villa for a drive and a lunch somewhere at the Dubai marina, an area I later realized that i have not really explored in my past visits. The architectural views along the way as we approach the Marina area was mesmerizing as most visitors to Dubai will testify. It makes you feel like you are driving through a museum of architecture or an 'architectural expo'.
However there is ongoing construction at every turn which sadly enough mars the scenic views otherwise. From the comments made by J the progress it seems is slow as for one reason or another the workers mostly from India or Bangladesh and Pakistan it seems are not into getting things done with entusiasm to put it mildly.
The LRT service station has somewhat of a futuristic design and when completed will be very beneficial to the whole area making connections of the whole surrounding smaller towns to the Dubai City Center much more convenient.
The Burj Khalifa commands a sight from whichever direction one look at it and like it most of the Dubai skyline is a sight to behold as far modern day cities are.
When in Rome! ,Have a good Pizza, with extra anchovies!

After a month in Dubai.

It is exactly a month now since I left Penang and yesterday my son, his mom and i went to get some shopping done as they were getting set to leave for the Antarctica and they left very early this morning. I enjoyed very much being with just the three of us for a few days although naz's mom and I are no more married; it gave a chance to feel what it was like to again be under the same roof after all these years. Faye and I had always maintain a close if not respectful relationship not just for my son's sake but simply because we had this mutual feeling ever since we met in Malaysia some 38? years ago. I felt her strength in character and and she was instrumental in getting my feet off the ground when I was 25 and running around like a chicken without a head in Penang. Today I know I made the right choice despite all the ups and downs we went through together; we have a son who is to be proud of more than most parents can expect.
In the past few weeks I have had some of the most expensive dinners and entertainments thanks to my son's no hold barred when it comes to spending money. And thanks too to his pilot buddies I have had the opportunity to be at places where very few can afford or would have the opportunity to unless they have the means and more importantly connections. I often felt out of sorts during these moment when I in my younger days would have felt at home; perhaps my age is telling again to slow down and let go lest I forget or grow attached too much to the 'good life'. But hey! I would Rather laugh and enjoy at what life has to offer me right at this moment than to sit and ponder too much on what is in store for me when I return to my poverty state in Penang. Often wondering where my next meal was going to come from or how to get a few gallons of gas into my fuel tank so I can drive to USM and waste my time on blogging and what ever else there is left for me to do.
Such Is!
I completed six large paintings since my arrival here and two are being framed for Christmas gifts, I would have loaded their pictures here had I mastered the process on this computer and even though my son had hammered into my head time and again how to go about to do it I am still groping in the dark. I think my mind is also slowing down not so much out of ignorance but simply not having the passion or will power like I used to. I have not blogged for a while not too just to step back from it and let things happen; perhaps this too is an indication of letting go, not giving up, but the feeling of enough is enough. The beauty in blogging like the beauty in keeping an ongoing art journal in the past is becoming just another escape from reality? Hee! What is 'Reality'? Don't get me started on that!
One of the great feeling of being here is the fact that it is just the opposite of being in Sungai Pinang, living on the most busiest junction and in a house that is also a restaurant cum catering business; You only find a few hours of sanity every 24 hours and that is in the dead of the night or the wee early hours of the morning. Here it is quiet almost throughout the day and night with hardly a car passing by or a dog barking. So I find myself meditating a whole lot more than I normally could while in Penang. I also find sources of related studies such as Yoga and Healing information's coming my way like they are drawn to me by some invisible magnet; books, you tubes, conversations on related subjects. It is like there is a source that is demanding me to take my step further into what I have already learned and accumulated through the experiences in my life.
From the review of the book I am presently reading called, A User's Guide to the Brain by John Ratey.

"I found the chapter on memory to be the most fascinating. It's pretty common knowledge that our memories are malleable and that what we think we remember is not as concrete as we would like to believe. We learn why many "abuse and satanic cult" memories turn out to be false and how they are formed in the first place. It is also absorbing to think that the only reason the "I Am" is possible is because we can remember that "We Were." Our memories are not merely tokens of the past but powerful forces behind what we believe. This is reflected in the oral traditions of many tribal societies. "One Seneca Indian elder tells the story of 'the remembering,' the moral of which is that people who spiritually incorporate the stories of the past become greatly gifted, while people who disdain the past are doomed to repeat its mistakes."

GE - 13 on my Mind

Racism and religious sectarianism then are merely crutches, or shields for the journey, for one would not need to negate others if the world was not understood so antagonistically, as of scarcity, to begin with. And this is the kernel of the Malay nationalism that has endured most so far: born in poverty amidst the bewildering dissonance of demands from other ethnicities, languages, religions and ways of life while brewing hopes of European progress, the strong regime – whether it is led by a monarch, a racist party orUlamas – will always be the ideal saviour for those harbouring false hopes of tranquil in the cacophony of complex life. Viewed from this unflattering light of home, we are perhaps coming closer to answering the question of who is Malay.

Najib and the Barisan Nasional leaders should know that they are in the era of Internet and it is no more possible for the political leaders in the country to censor or manipulate the flow of information as to hide the fact of dishonesty and hypocrisy of UMNO leaders lying to the Malays that a vote for DAP is a vote for the oppression of the Malays while MCA leaders are lying to the Chinese that a vote for DAP is a vote for the oppression of the Chinese

It is not that i have run out of ideas of my own that I keep quoting others on the subjects I am sharing with those who enjoy reading my blog. I sometimes feel rhat the thoughts of others on the matters are expressed in a much better way and more easily understood and they express pretty much what i have in mind. I should add more information on the sources of my quotes so that my readers can further explore these writers I quote. My intention is to trigger some form of positive reaction towards the ideas put forth in relation to the subject of my writing which is basically the GE13. (General Election 2013), which will soon happen in Malaysia. The three quotes above reflects what my mind has perceived as critical issues that can and should be carefully addressed and understood by every intelligent if not intellectual Malaysians and these perceptions among others should then be made known and understood by the common people of the country.
I am not advocating any party to win the election nor am I making any suggestion which party is the party of my choice; I am sharing my thoughts on the need for a change and if change is to happen what it would take and how should we implement it. As time is of the essence, those of us who have interest in the matter have to cease the moment (carpe diem) and act and not play reserve by eternally sitting on the fence as a watcher while letting others play the game for us. We have to get our fingers dirty and our knees scraped if we are to make any form of contribution towards the making our our country's future.

Passing on What the great Minds has Illuminated

"Why should I have knowledge about myself? - the higher self, lower self and all that? Why should I have knowledge about that? It's very simple - it's self-interest; I'm only concerned with myself actually. We may pretend to have brotherhood, we may talk about peace, play with words, but we're always self-centred. So, from that arises the question: With this self-centredness, which is essentially deep selfishness, can there be a change at all? Can we be utterly selfless? So we have to enquire: what is the self?

So, what are you? I'm saying, you're a bundle of all that is put together by thought. Whatever you think, you are. You may invent all kinds of stuff, but that invention too is what you are. Right? Putting it all together it is called me, myself, my ego, my personality, my higher self, my god. And I invent all this kind of stuff. Who has put all this together? Or is there
only one structure? Who has divided all this? Who has said I'm a Hindu or I'm a Muslim? Is it merely propaganda? Who created the division between countries? Thought? Or is it desire, the longing to be identified, to be safe?

Then the question arises: Why do you want security? Is there security in your thinking? Is there security in your relationship - with your wife and with your children? Is there security in your job? You may be a professor, carefully protected, but there are higher professors; so you want to become the vice-chancellor. So where is security? There may be no security at all.Just think about it, sir, see the beauty of that - having no desire for security, having no urge, no feeling of any kind in which there is security. In your homes, in your offices, in your factories, in your parliaments and so on, is there security? Life may not have security; life is meant to be lived, not to create problems and then try to solve them. It's meant to be lived, and it will die. That's one of our fears - to die, right?

The world is in great chaos. I don't know if you realize it; there is great trouble in the world, great misery. You are confused, therefore you are creating all this in the world around you. If you don't alter yourself, the world cannot alter, change. Because, in the world, everywhere you go, every human being goes through the same phenomenon as you are going through - uncertain, unhappy, fearful, insecure, wanting security, trying to control, saying that your guru is better than my guru, and so on.

So you have created this society; you are this society. So, unless you change radically, you'll never change it. The communists have tried to change it, forcing man, secretly, viciously, to submit to various forms of compulsion. You must know all this: this is history. So where there is division, there must
be conflict; that's the law. And apparently we like conflict, we live in perpetual conflict. So we must go back and find out what is the cause of all this. Is it desire? Is it fear? Is it pleasure? Is it the avoidance of all pain and therefore guilt? Let us begin to find out for ourselves what is desire. That is the basis - desire to have power, desire to achieve, desire to become somebody. We are not against desire, we are not trying to become somebody. We are not against desire, we are not trying to suppress desire or transcend desire, like the monks. We must, together, understand what is desire."  - J. Krishnamurit

"Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics" - Albert Einstein

My Malaysia 4

"We are supposed to have lived on this earth for a million years, and during that long evolution we have remained barbarians. We may be cleaner, quicker at communication, have better hygiene, transportation and so on, but morally, ethically and - if I may use that word - spiritually, we are still barbarians. We kill each other not only in war, but also by words, by gestures. We are very competitive. We are very ambitious. Each is concerned with himself. Self-interest is the dominant note in our life - concern with our own well-being, security, possessions, power, and so on."     J. Krishnamurti

It is almost a thing of rare beauty to see a group of Chinese, Malays and Indians sitting and having good rapport at a coffee shop anywhere in the country. It is the saddest if not the most disgusting thing to watch a Chinese a Malay or a Hindu give each other a dirty look for no apparent reason by simply because. Why do we always choose to treat each other with contempt and disrespect rather than greet or at the very least acknowledge with a nod of the head as we make an eye contact with our fellow Malaysian? Is our life so downtrodden and beggared that we cannot afford civility towards one another even if we are strangers and of different nationality? What do we fear would happen if we do act with good manners and common courtesy? Would we loose face in the eyes of our fellow man, to succumb into submission in some form by doing so? Even ants greet each other as they pass by and most animals do sniff one another out as a sign of recognition: but Malaysians, there were times when I felt like cursing for having smiled to a stranger only to receive a scorn.
It sounds very rudimentary (Corny) and simple, but we Malaysians have to start somewhere to let our positive nature show, to let our feelings be known that we care and we are one. Not just bull shit about it in making speeches and commercials on TV but actually, factually do it in the open. We can save this country through our own initiative to change and we can change by starting at the very most down to earth level of interpersonal communication, just start with a smile; a sign of acknowledgement, yes i see you. I am okay! you are okay. It is never too late to change and change we must! To change the government we must first change ourselves, our mindset, our understanding of who we are in relationship to others especially those belonging to a different race or community. Yes we have been doing this to a certain extent but most of the time we do it for a reason albeit a sense of political unity or racial tolerance, or respect for religious beliefs: we have been doing it out of a necessity rather than out of genuine human concern.

"Your life is like that of the rest of the world. Human beings are terribly unhappy, uncertain, miserable, unemployed by the millions, in poverty, hunger, sorrow, pain, just like you; you're not different from them. You may call yourself Hindu or Muslim or Christian or what you like, but consciously, inwardly, you are just like the rest of the world. You may be dark brown, they may be light brown, have a different government, but every human being shares this terrible world. We have made the world - you understand? We are society. If you want society to be something different, you have to start, you have to bring order to your house, the house which is you."

                                              Mohd. Bukhari Mansin

So stop looking for someone to blame, stop looking for a scapegoat whether it is the government or the Police or those who occupy the seat of power; we created them, we put them into their position and we can change this. We can make for a better future if we pool our minds together and stop acting from our self centered egotistical nature, act from our heart of hearts. Not from our cultural and ethnic heritage but from our status now, as a Malaysian with no conditions imposed by anyone but purely being Malaysian.
We have to negate all that has been imposed upon our minds by our past, our parents our teachers, our family and friends we have to embrace a new beginning free from any preconditioned ideas and ideals. We have to give up what or who we are made to think we are and grasp upon an understanding of what a selfless, effortless spontaneous act is in the face of the catastrophe we are about to walk into. Don't let those who have acquired comfort zones and ideal positions way laid us from our vision to change; don't be sides tracked by empty words and promises, stay focus on what needs to be done as though our very lives depends on it, and it does.

"Sudah tiba masanya anak muda melakuan perubahan menyeluruh. Sudah terang lagi bersuluh dengan apa yang berlaku pada hari ini. Jenayah makin berleluasa, yang kaya terus kaya dan yang miskin dibiarkan papa kedana, walupun kadang kala diberi makan umpan sekali sekala apabila menjelangnya pilihan raya. Jangan kita menutup pintu hati untuk menerima kebenaran dengan terus menutup mata atas masalah yang berlaku pada hari ini."
                                                   Mohd. Bukhari Mansin

Parents, it is up to us to make way for our young so that they see what lies ahead without their minds being clouded by our own biases. If educate them we must then let it be an education that will set them free from any sense of racial or communal bigotry, free from any fear of being accused of being unfaithful towards race or religion; to act with freedom means to be free of any form of attachments. As parent is it our inherent responsibility to enlighten our children towards their sense of complete understanding of what is justice and why they need to uphold it irregardless of who or what they feel should rule the country. The future of this nation lies in the hands of those who are able to vote in the next election and that means each and everyone of us young and old,; wake up! let us do our research and let not anything else dissuade us from this paramount responsibility.

My Malaysia 3

Many of us in Malaysia are either stuck in a rut of political indecisiveness or disillusioned by how corrupted our leaders really are and it is scary to say the least. To wake up to the reality of such a nightmare after years of slumber is indeed very regretful; having placed so much confidence in those we elected in the past we became complacent and careless. The war drums are being hammered to the tune of political survival for the ruling party and the opposition is bound and determined to march to Putra Jaya ill equipped as they are but better the devil you know, as the 'Man' said, yes he should know as he had led these devils for some twenty odd years. As more and more skeletons are being dragged out of the political closets the image of our leaders are something of a horror show worthy of an Indian movie of betrayal and exploitations of greed hate and ignorance.
What is going to happen in the next few months is anyone's guess, but it is not going to be something worth looking forward to and does not matter anymore which side wins. Change will take place no doubt but change for the better of worse is yet to be seen as everything is up for grabs as far as the government is concern; nothing is sacred anymore as more and more people are feeling the disgust of being betrayed. I watched the videos of what is going on in the parliament and felt like my country is being run by a bunch of self serving clowns male and female alike each out to chew the other's throat at the drop of a hat while debating about the fate of the nation and nothing seems to materialise in any form of cohesive, creative conclusion.; it is lie watching a dogfight in the RSPCA the yelling and screaming with not much being really said about anything.
Now there is a massive rally at the Putra World Trade Center as the ruling party (UMNO) delegates gather to hash out what needs to be done in order to stay in power. As most observers points out it is more of an opposition bashing gathering than one that really needs to sit quietly and deliberate what went wrong and how things can be mended. how to work with true grit and honesty and win the hearts of the people back again; no sir, lets give em hell! Lets pull out of our sleeves our finest trick and see if the people can still be fooled like they have been all these years; and as the 'Man' said, "Melayu mudah lupa!", yes, the Malays easily forgets!
This day and age Malaysia" hope lies in the hands of the computer-wise younger generation as most of the antics being exposed of how bad things are and who is to blame for what is being uploaded into the Internet for their perusal; if they can be pursuade to spend a little time to look away from the sidetracks of video games and triple Xs websites. The younger generation of today, those of the voting age will make a great difference towards the outcome of the GE13; the days of the old war lords and war horses are numbered.
But the young has to awaken to the reality of the situation and act in accordance to their own perception not through imitating those of their elders or through being influenced by the fears that is being sewn by those presently in power; those with their own agendas. The GE13 is not too far from happening, it is up to us all to wake up and realize why we need to act and act ofr the benefit of the whole through our own self reflections and discovery. We are a rich ethnically diverse nation, let it work for us and not be used against us; lest we be frowned upon by those who gave their lives for the sake of this nation. Let us take some time off from our daily routine and dwell deeply into how we can bring th great nation, small in size as it is back onto its destination of Peace and Prosperity a vision that was set for 2020.
