My Bodhisattva Virtue
A Declaration of Readiness
I do not come to teach.
I come to remember, aloud, what I have lived.
I carry no doctrine, no method, no name for what I am.
Only the simple knowing:
that the mind is a trickster,
that the heart is a doorway,
and that silence never lies.
I do not claim enlightenment—
only the courage to keep shedding what I am not.
I speak not to impress, but to connect.
I share not to lead, but to walk beside.
And if the words that rise from my breath touch another soul,
then let them land gently, and dissolve just as gently.
I am not a guru.
I am a man who fell, rose, wandered, wept, saw,
and came home to himself—
again and again.
If this life now asks me to serve, I will serve.
If it asks me to sit still, I will sit still.
If it asks me to vanish, I will vanish.
But I will not pretend to be what I am not.
And I will not hold back what I have become.
Let this be my offering.
Let this be my vow.
Let this be the breath that carries me into what comes next.
Let this be my Bodhisattva Virtue.
