In Loving Memory of Furby 2019 – 6 May 2025

🌺 In Loving Memory of Furby

2019 – 6 May 2025

Today, we said goodbye to our beloved Furby. She fell from the roof of our twelfth-floor apartment and did not survive. I was out picking up my son when it happened. The news broke my heart. When I returned, I held her in my arms one last time, and the tears cam

Furby had been with us for nearly six years. I adopted her as a kitten from Belantik, near the SRI LOVELY organic farm. She was said to be half-wild, and her fierce, spirited nature proved it. Only my daughter could truly hold her, and even that took some determination.

She was a survivor. Incredibly, this was not her first fall—Furby had fallen from the twelfth floor once before as a kitten and lived. That she survived then makes today's loss feel even more unreal, as though her spirit had already defied gravity once before and now simply chose to fly home.

Furby likely fled to the rooftop to escape the noise and bustle of our recent move. Maybe she decided this wasn’t a journey she wanted to take with us.

I will miss her morning wake-up calls, her watchful eyes, and her presence. She wasn't just a cat—she was family, mystery, independence, and love in a fur coat.

🕊️ Rest now, Furby.
You were fierce and unforgettable.
We will never forget you.

She will only eat "Temptations" most expensive, and Tuna in water.
