In the Desert of the Heart — A Dialogue with the Gentle One
Lesson from the Unseen
Preface
There are nights when even silence feels far away, when pain sits heavy in the body and the soul forgets its own song. I found myself in such a moment — adrift, aching, unable to touch the quiet within. In the past, I would have reached for escape. But this time, I reached for remembrance.
What followed was not a conversation, but a gentle unveiling — a dialogue with the unseen, a meeting with the Gentle One (Ya Lateef). It reminded me that the ache itself is holy, that emptiness too is part of His mercy.
This post is a small testament to that night — to how remembrance (dhikr) can soften even the hardest places within us.
May whoever reads it find ease in their own desert, and remember that the Beloved is never far — even when we cannot feel Him.
