What's my next move? - find a job on Pulau Kapas.

Am thinking about relocating this summer to the East Coast, maybe find a job on Kapas Island or hang out at my twin's cattle ranch in nearby Marang. If it all falls into place with the help of my twin brother and my new found friends on Kapas, I feel this would be an ideal change for me.

The above couple nEncik Noli and Madame Rose are owners of one of the resorts on Kapas and I was fortunate to be be able to share some moments learning about the history of their place.

I got to meet the owner of this Resort corner, a unique and interesting man.

I know I will enjoy working on the Island as it would be very good for my physical, mental and spiritual health, It would be like my ashram, or my own Zen Center with only me as the student."The One man one mind of Cotton Island."

The guy laid back stern of the boat is an owner of one of the resorts on the Is;and. Great Guy to know and reminds me of my late Art teacher Reza Piadasa in appearence and character.

All I have to do is be Me! The former Health and Safety Officer for the Petronas Refinery Construction in Kerteh fpr three years! Supervisor for the ferry terminal at Batu ban for Jerejak Resort and SPA for three years. The rest of my qualifications please refer to my Personnel Profile.

I love the shies and the ocean and I enjoy cleaning up the beach. One of my principle if I may call it that in life is to become a cretaker for my environment and that is where I may be, my kitchen or the deserted beaches along the East Coast. I have done it and not just am saying it cause every chance I got travelling I would carry with me garbage bags to collect any flotsam or debris especially just after the monsoon season.

According to my buddy Ben, it would be a sound and cool decision to make.

I will have to think about it...

A Week at Pulau Kapas or Kapas Island.

To fulfill Ben Rongen's yearning to visit his old playgrounds on the East Coast especially the Kapas Island or Pulau Kapas and the seaside village of Jambu Bongkok where he had lived for five years. It took us more than eight hours getting from Penang to Kuala Terengganu because of many pit stops along the way. It was all well worth the drive.

It was a sun shiny day and the beach at Jambu Bongkok was littered with the debris from the Monsoon winds and waves. In the past I had always enjoyed the beach combing activity just after the Monsoon season as I would find many treasures washed up from who knows where.

The Beaches along the East Coast is mostly deserted of hmans and in most areas one will find the serene beauty to be most soothing to the wearied mind. A quiet spot under the pandan tree is as good as any for a sitting and contemplating.

A view of the Kapas Island from the mainland at Marang. The Monsoon seson looks like has finally dissipated and the skies were clear over the calm South China Sea.

The boat ride towards the Island brought back numerous fond memories as the Island was and still is one of my favorite playgrounds for many years in my past.

There is nothing to say but simply lay back and chill and enjoy the Island Paradise while the rest of the world are immersed into wars and Pandemics. The Creator gave me this allotted time  to live life to the fullest and this I have done and am still doing.

Food and People on the East Coast.

Floods are hitting the East Coast States of Terengganu and Kelantan, the monsoon is not leaving without kicking up a storm or two. I managed to sneak away in the nick of time a week ago where I was visiting my family and friends in Kuala Terengganu. It is safe to say that the weather has gone haywire where the cycle of the monsoon season is concern. Pictures of places I visited are appearing on Face Book showing how high the water had risen in many parts of Terengganu especially in the interior causing hardship to lives living close to the Terengganu River. The area hit badly was the Pulau Duyong area where Awi's Yellow House is located. Although it is quite normal an event for the locals as every year this is to be expected, it still is a challenge for those whose homes are affected. In the old days this is one of the reasons why Malay Kampung houses were built on high stilts or pillars such the floor was raised far from the ground to avoid being inundated. The Yellow House chalets have survived many years of flooding due to it being built high above the river and thus is free from b eing washed away by strong currents.

The monsoon floods this year seemed more severe in the interior or the Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Brang area where the Kenyir Dam is located. Postings of debris of logs and torn down trees makes it looks like the area is headed for a disaster in the making. The heavy rain and floods unleashed has revealed the human errors in underestimating nature and thinking that what is not seen will forever be hidden from the general public. The monsoon rains has washed away most of the deforestation from logging that is thought to cleverly stay hidden and those who are responsible will be drawn out to answer what or who shall take the blame. Like the floods in the state of Pahang and Selangor, logging activities in the surrounding forest area has been the major cause of flash floods as the hills being depleted of trees that normally retain the flow of water has allowed water to move freely downhill washing away top soil in its wake. The rivers and lakes has turned yellow to orange and the amount of sediment that finds its way to the sea is phenomenal if one is able to measure it in some way. Flooding has taken a whole new turn from what it used to be in the sixties and seventies when I lived there in the state of Terengganu. The worse flood was still not a real threat as many living in the flood areas were aware of what expect and make necessary precautions. Today the flood from a heavy  continuous rainfall ofthen result is flash floods where water just rises in one short moment, most of the times without warning. Areas that were normally with less chances of flooding are today exposed to the changes of the topography of the land from development in and around the area. If a careful study is carried out by related government agencies it would be discovered that in most area where new homes and residential areas being developed, drainage systems are found most lacking.  It is as if no thought is being put into it that results in poor water flow when it rains. This is also the problems face by the larger cities that recently were hit by major flash floods. IN most cases the raging water has no where to go but to overflow and flood surrounding area.

At five am. tomorrow morning my friend Ben Rongen and I will be driving to Kuala Terengganu for Ben to fulfill his desire to be on Pulau Kapas and be with his friends. It would be a second trip for me this year already being there for two weeks last month. It was mostly cool and sunny days all the time I was there and was able to visit people and places. I left in the nick of time as I noticed that the weather was starting to gather momentum towards the real monsoon that would hit the East Coast. When I left the dark clouds were gathering and it was starting to rain here and there as they say it in Wisconsin, I hauled ass out of there. On my last visit I had some of the most tasty dishes, including home made chapatis and Roti Nan that my distant nephew made his restaurant located in Marang which is quite well known among food lovers from all over. I was given a treat of the best Satay in the area too and for once I felt blessed by the kindness of those who fed me in their homes and restaurants. I must say that the last trip was about food.

What do my children think about my taking off again for the East Coast. I think they are cool with it, just for a week they can miss their father' cooking.I am making my spaghetti special this evening and this has always been winner. I also am keeping myself active, moving and doing things and looking at what was and now become, the kids are adults and the homes have seen better days. I see boredom and uncertainty in the eyes of many as they try to hide from me their inner concerns so I am not touched by sadness while a guest at their homes. I saw what an old man would see when he visits his old haunts and met his old friends and families, how they have fared thus far in my life. guessing what their life would be like when I am dead and gone. Will I be remembered? Will I become just another blur in their consciousness or would I become a model for them to use when relating to their children; look at what have become of him! I was pretty much psycho analyzing myself as I exposed myself to the people who had known me for the most part of my life. My brothers and sisters, my nephews and nieces, their children, my closest friends, their wives and kids; and they call me 'Sir, some of them. These are the people who watered my plants and wash my dishes, people whose lives has touched me and I theirs; they are my witnesses. I was their witness.

For posterity, my two cents worth - The War in Ukraine.

Russia's Ras-Putin has thrown down his gauntlet into the faces of the so called Ukraine's western allies and the rest of the free world and even now the Russian army is making their invasion of the Ukraine a bloody reality. The agony and misery that is being unleashed upon yet another peaceful nation will be devastating, from the worms that crawl underground to the birds that take flight into the skies and fishes that seek shelter amidst streams and rivers, nothing will be spared and Ukrainian cities will be laid to rubles like the cities those in Syria and Yemen and other war torn nations today. Of the people? Well what can we say except may God have mercy for what is to come. After two World Wars, humanity has yet to learn the meaning of what is Peace. Mankind is bound and determined for self destruction all in the name of sovereignty and hegemony. This time around it is also to fulfill one man's over inflated ego. A man who is bound and determined to be written into the history books if there be anymore history left to be written or read, as the hand that lit the flames; Rus-Putin.

"Gregory Rasputin Rasputin was born in 1872 and died in 1916 and he was to be one of the central figures in Russia's modern history…"

The shame of it all falls upon the Western Alliances specifically the NATO countries that had mad all of rhetoric about standing by Ukraine come what may. Sanctions are made to cripple the Russian economy as though Putin had not prepared for this event when he set his plans in motion. Then there is China and Iran, countries that has been under threats of sanctions by the same Western Nations, these countries stand by Russia if and when needed and China especially will not allow for the Soviet Union to be put under too much economic pressure without stepping in to tip the balance. Putin has seen to that his country will not stand alone in this conflict. Ukraine is Putin's punishment of the West over the years of disdain if not threatening treatment that the country had received since the cold war. Putin is warrior by nature, an ex KGB officer who rose in rank through being fearless and smart, he is not a power hungry mad man, Putin is playing with consequences of wielding absolute power; how far or how near can he push before all hell breaks looses.

The most effective deterrent towards checking Putin's war over Ukraine is the Russian people themselves. Many are against the war and many are being arrested for voicing their anguish over the matter. For the Russian ordinary men and women war is no more an option as the country had suffered untold miseries is the two World Wars and the most recent wars in Chechnya and Afghanistan had proven. The Russians love their children too, no matter how justified Putin may feel, the Russian will rise out of sheer collective conscience and stop his lust for hegemony and killing in the name of Mother Russia. #russia,#ukraine,#putin,#nato, zelensky

My Friend Ben.

Another trip with my friend Ben Rongen who is a Austrlian and originally from Holland. Ben is one of a kind who has seen and done more than his share of living. From being a registered nurse to a wreckage diver with all sorts of mini adventures in between in his lifelong career in Life. Ben has been living for twenty eight years in Malaysia and presently married to a Chinese lady, Joan Cheong who is in her own a well established designer and a consultant in human resources management. They live in Penang where Ben has his collection of Chinese ceramic wares recovered from 400 year old sunken vessel off the Terengganu coast, in the South China Sea.

Raised in Australia, Ben told FMT that he first came to Malaysia in 1994 and ran a successful production house in Kuala Lumpur for 15 years.

His typical work day included producing corporate documentaries and television commercials as well as programmes.

“But I was slowly yearning to break out from the usual work. I wanted to document a more fascinating subject, especially on history,” he says.

And that’s how he chanced upon famed Swedish marine archaeologist Sten Sjostrand who worked on ancient shipwrecks in the South China Sea.

“When I approached him, he had already discovered seven other shipwrecks on the East Coast of Malaysia while working together with the National Museum of Malaysia.”

Excited to embark on a new project, Rongen joined Sjostrand and his bold crew to document their journey. That was in 2002.

And then something truly fascinating happened. Six months into the documentary, Sjostrand and his team discovered yet another shipwreck, this one located near Tenggol Island, Terengganu. = FMT.( Free Malaysia Today).

A trip to Pulau Kapas is a must, Ben insisted when we first got to know one another. Kapas Island off the coast of Marang in Terengganu was one of his favorite places to hang out when not working and so if all goes according to plan we will be driving to the East Coast sometime in the early month of March. Our first trip together was to visit my former hunting ground at Lintang Organic Farm in Belantik, Sik, Kedah and we had a good time getting to know one another.

“I may be 65 but I’m still very fit – I dive!” he chuckles, saying that he is hoping to see the day where he may finally travel again to explore and unearth the many other shipwrecks in Malaysia."

We drove the Volvo into the Sunset.

Took a Sunday drive with my friend Ben Rongen in his Volvo we ended up in Balik Pulau as they say here on the other side of the Island. Drove along the new express road am ore confused now on where we were at one point. Ben retorted at the city landscape in the distance , "Another Hong Kong look alike!" No chance of stopping for a selfie along the scenic drive...will take getting used to.

We made it to Balik Pulau eventually and managed to catch the sunset at Malindo Point (beach) .

I paid homage to the setting sun...
The Lord's Glory is in the Sunset...

Ikh dinasiratulmustakin...Lead me O'Lord through the straight and narrow path that leads me to You.
I stand in homage before You my Lord in the presence of Your Light and Splendor that no picture taken could do justice to Your Presence being there before You, Alhamdullilah!
Thank you Ben! for making it happen.

Ressurecting Awi's Yellow House! -2

My daughter suggested that I look into the upgrading of the Yellow House myself or at least in the supervisory capacity of getting things moving. Not a bad idea come to think of it if I can overcome the family hurdles that would stand in my way. Only Puan Rohani, Awi's wife's blessings can clear any family obstruction as she is the Patriarch of the family. I need also to convince the one man who is capable to do the physical work and that is Awi's brother, Hashim or real name Wan Noordin. Hashim has been a craftsman for as long as his career has been. He was part of the boat building and has constructed his own floating house. Hashim has got a strong work ethics and commitment to whatever he put his mind to. He also has the respect of most of the locals especially his peers and can drum up help if and when needed in order to resurrect the Yellow House to better than what it was. Hashim is his own way has a sentimental attachment to the Yellow House as not only reminds him of his elder brother but also to keep the surrounding area pristine and attractive as it used to be. This he has expressed to me when I visited him at his workshop.

It would allbe a matter of trust and the willingness to see things happen for the better instead of letting what is an icon go to rot because of negligence.

I would be willing to work with Hashim on this but it will have to be with some measure of assurance that no one will decide to step in and hijack the project when half way done for any reason ans this can only be assured by Puan Rohani. Perhaps another visit to Pulau Duyong and sit with her on the matter would be the next step.

Hashim is a model boat builder on top of working on actual boats when these were being build at the boat yard. Not many is left today with the knowledge of building the traditional Malay sailing boats that were used for trading between countries along the eastern seaboard of the South China Seas. Just how to convince the Lady of the house and her children the idea is the next issue that is if I choose to take on my daughter's suggestion.  #awiyellowhouse,#pulau duyong, #rohanilonguet

My Trip to The East Coast - Touching bases. -1

I have taken a break from posting my Blog for the last two weeks simply because...I took a trip to the East Coast to visit my siblings and friends there. I needed to take a break from routine here with my two children and the cats which have multiplied to six from one since I left. hence an added dimension to my existence which should prove challenging with my son Karim getting a scooter for himself, a gift from his boss and we will be getting new car soon when it is available in stock. We are buying a car that has run out of stock! Life's details! One as to run through each and every pot holes in order to get to the final destination and sometimes taking a tumble or two to wake up to the reality that one seeks but the journey never really ends until the curtain falls and the curtain will finally fall.

Arriving at the Kuala Terengganu bus terminal after 7-8 hours trip from Georgetown I realized that I had RM15 in my wallet and I felt like I was truly on the road again like when I was in my younger days except in this town on the East Coast I have family and friends I can call upon. I grew up in this town sice I was twelve having moved from Penang which is on the West Coast to live with my immediate family for I was adopted an raised by my uncle and aunties since birth. I was a teenager when I first arrived in K.Tr and started my secondary education six mile from where the old town was sometime in 1962 The town now has changed no doubt some for the better while others well, what can  I say...development...progress...growth, and I am growing old.  Sparing the details I made my way north about an hour's drive to the small town Setiu where my sister is staying next door to her daughter to be close to her granddaughters both the houses were newly constructed and the owners perhaps lives or work somewhere else. Setiu is a flood prone area and it still is the monsoon season and so although the rainy season is relatively dry it started to rain a few days after my arrival and one day I had to use an optional road one day due to flooding.

I stayed with my nephew Mohammad Rafi and his family at their bakery home. I felt most welcome and at home with them especially my nephew's wife who was originally from Islamabad in India. She can cook and I was treated to her best dishes with the chappatis being my favorite. I mostly became an observer to a week of living with them feeling the hardships and the closeness of the siblings as they face the day to day routine of life. I have a tremendous respect and admiration for my nephew for having raised his family despite  both his legs are being infected by a gangrene type of flesh eating germ leaving an large open wound on both legs at the ankle and this has lasted for more than twenty years. There seem to be no cure for it and every night I watched him clean the wounds with chemical soap and water and wrap them up with gauze after the process. A very religious Muslim, his forehead is bruised darkened by the thousands of times touching his head to the prayer rug when in prostration. An avert reader he is well informed and can carry out conversations on practically any subject. Rafi is over fifty now and has six children and he inherited a bakery that was his father's and has handed it down to a few of his children. The eldest daughter is an architect and the second is on her way to becoming a lawyer. The eldest boy will most probably take over the bakery business when Rafi retires. The bakery has an odd name to it, it is called Kedai Roti Israil, or Israil'sBakery. Most customers wondered about it but Israil happened to be Rafi's Father's name and has nothing to do with the State of Israel.

Most of my friends I was able to catch up with were busy with their daily routine to afford me much attention and it was understandable so. I was able to drop by Pulau Duyong and pay my respect to my late friend's wife of Awi of Awi's Yellow House and had a short chat with Puan Rohani as she is locally known had a dentist appointment. Originally from France where upon arrival at Duyong sometime in 1971 she met and married my friend Awi, son of the village Imam, an uneducated kampung boy much feared by most for his fierce and aggressiveness. Christine Rohani Longuet as her French last name is had arrived in Duyong to build a sailing boat according to the local boat makers of  Duyong with the intention of sailing the boat round the globe. Upon completion of her first boat she set sail north east along the coast of the South China Sea, however the Vietnam War errupted and put a halt to her trip. She then returned to Duyong and m time married Awi or whose real name was Wan Othman the village imam's eldest son. Their relationship was fueled by the love for boats and sailing and the lure of local culture and environment. Puan Rohani is still working on the cultural history of Pulau Duyong and its  decadence over time when I met her, and she noted that change and development has just about torn the whole village fabric asunder. She has been instrumental in setting up the local library and the Duyong Cultural and Information Center among other activities and is still pursuing her interest and research in local horticulture of herbs and so forth. Now in her late 70s, Puan Rohani Longuet is still very much alive and active doing what she loves best about life, she is to me the living cultural historian of the Pulau Duyong and keeper of its maritime history especially in the local art of boat building.

The French Lady who left her home and family to take on the wild side of life in Pulau Duyong, Terengganu, where she spent the rest of her life dedicated to raising the environmental as well as cultural consciousness of the locals.

The Yellow House was a place of meeting of great minds, minds that came to rest and recuperate, miinds that sought the peace and quiet of a rustic beauty as only such place can afford.

Mrs. Mariam

Mr. and Mrs Boyo, well I only know them by this name, were among the most frequent visitors to the Yellow House.

My concern however is for the sorely needed of upgrading the Yellow House which is now left in a state of disrepair and it is a matter of time before the whole structure will collapse into the river that it is build upon. Awi's Yellow House is an iconic chalet setting that was built by its original owner to give the visitors a taste of what living on a river feels like.

The Yellow House was built on the bank of the Terengganu River located among the mangrove swamp. It was meant to be a rest house for boat builders and owners who came from all over the world and later turned into a quiet retreat for writers and musicians, back packers who seek the tranquility and quietude to replenish their creative spirit. The Yellow House was frequented by the more road hardened back packers and travelers who came from all over the world and sharing their wisdom and knowledge with the fellow kind at this rustic setting.
My friend Awi was in his own way as charismatic as his wife and a very hard worker committed to what he did and the Yellow House was his pride and joy. Better known as Aboh among the kids, my two children included, Awi was what folklore heroes were made of for he could be meaner than the devil and loving and caring by nature depending on the circumstances. I was fortunate to be able to spend almost three years of my life hanging out with him at the Yellow House.

A Trip long overdue to the SRI LOVELY organic farm in Belantik, Sik, Kedah.

Last Tuesday the 4th.of January, my new found buddy Ben Rongen and I decided to take a drive and to SRI LOVELY, or Kampung Lintang located a the foothills of the small town of Belantik in Sik, Kedah. Our first stop upon arriving in the area was at Tasik Gubir or the Muda Dam where I had first visited in 2012.  What was most attractive at the site was the rows of sampans or wooden boats that were lined by the shoreline. Ben, who is originally from Australia was impressed by these boats and as a matter of fact the whole area in itself. The dam water was at its highest and relatively very calm.

These boats that comfortably can take three people are used to take visitors and tourists into the interior part of the lake for camping trips and wild life observations or even fishing. We were told that they were built by the locals from nearby villages. As the lake is relatively calm most of the time, they are comfortable to ride in and are for hire for those who have the experience of handling motor boats.

Our next stop was at the organic farm where a dip in the chilling cold fast flowing water was the wake up call for the body and mind. It brought back fond memories for me of my stay here off and on since 2012, The water is relative very clean as there is no industrial activities up river from where we were. The greenery was refreshing after being locked down in our apartment back in the city.
We stayed for the night in the first right hand most chalet where I had stayed before as the first person to do so when it was first constructed. The chalets were constructed primarily with bamboo except for the roofing where a type of tough local palm was used and the dark roofing was added later.
As the rice was about ready for the harvesting the major problem being faced today is how to deter the birds from reaping them before the humans can. These little birds like the finch dive in droves into the rice field and has been a menace to the farm. As killing them is not allowed, ways and means to keep them at bay were being implemented.
The morning sun caste its rays through thee branches giving the whole area a sense of a fairyland.
This can be made to happen when heavy smoke is floated into the air by burning the dried leaves on the ground. I found a rake and started raking the area of dried leaves as I have done before during my many visits to this place in the past.

It was good to feel at home again after so long of not being able to visit the organic farm. To meet the Captain, Zakaria Amantasha and a few others and still felt like you never really left the place.
There are places in some parts of the world that exudes energy and power that can be harnessed into one's being and used in manifesting creative and productive activities or become a potent protective armor against unseen forces. One just has to become sensitive to this energy by serving the environment surrounding the area like it is a temple or a refuge; make it one's holy or spiritual site.

2019 -- 2021 Recap; Living in abject denial.

And a New Year begins! It's the same year after year for the pas 72 years and it seems I have not changed. The whole world around me has go through changes like there is no tomorrow, but me, I am still the same entity living a life of worries and fear, discord and dissatisfaction, a life of a roller coaster ride that since the beginning has tossed and turned my stomach inside out but I am still the same! I am still looking at it all through the eys of the kid that first had his hard on and wondered what the hell was it all about. The kid who was slapped around for making a fool of himself by not knowing his multiplication tables and the fool who was forced to worship in the Buddhist temple and the mosque at the same time in his tender years. Yes I was and still is mixed up kid, only I am now 72 and starting to fart far more often and excessively than I used to, but my mind refuses to admit the changes happening around me is as of significance as to who I truly am. A New Year where or what will it bring me in the form of genuine change, God only knows and He I don't think has much time to care about me or so it seems, too many disasters and mayhem, too much corruption and bamboozling going on around the planet to worry about one yo yo.

2021 has left me with a whole lot of thoughts not worth carrying forward with me into the future and so I have to work on eliminating the files and editing the contents of my memory bank, Seeing that I am still breathing I must say I have no choice but to set a upon a course whereby new and more challenging paths are laid before me to venture forward into the unknown territories of human existence. There is much to learn and to absorb and much to discard and detach from.Time is of the essence as the body and mind is on a downward curve spiraling to  a halt which could happen at anytime for one of my age. However one of my favorite female comedians ahd just taken that one step beyond at the age of 99 and her departure has set me to looking forward with my own remaining years making sure it is not frittered away in vain: may you beautiful and funny soul rest in peace Betty White and thank you for the years of laughter you shared during those cold Wisconsin winters of my life during the seventies and eighties.

I gave in reluctantly to be vaccinated twice for COVID19 even though I had the virus attack beforehand which lasted for 12-14 days. I gave in for the sake of conveniences mostly and one being able to travel and eat at restaurants and secondly because my two childrens' insistence. Now the Minister of Health is considering that we have two more shots for booster's sake In the last two years I have never felt my freedom as a man being robbed from me by the system of a failed government that is making choices as they move along in handling the Pandemic crisis and for this I am glad I will not be around for too much longer on this planet and am glad that I do not have grandchildren to feel sorry for. After looking into the causes and effects of the Pandemic globally, I am more skeptical than ever about the whole scenario of how we have become at the mercy of our existing system and how we have been exploited by the very people we have elected to run the country and I would most probably be accused being a conspiracy theorist if I am faced with the law for believing in what I do. I do not deny the clear and present danger of the COVID virus but I am not at ease with how it has been dealt with and exploited by the parties concern. I feel the remedy is much more painful than the cure fro the average man on the street.

The floods that is now hitting various parts of the country causing havoc in its wake is not just another natural phenomena despite the fact that it is the monsoon season which actually happens along the coastal areas of the South China Seas at this time of the year. The past few weeks saw floods sweeping away homes and bridges and leaving thousands stranded along the west coast and perhaps we can blame it on the climate change phenomena like we did the El Nino phenomena a few years ago. However the floods is caused much more than nature and the main factor being wanton logging and poor maintenance of our drainage system especially in the areas in and around the cities. It seems development and constructions of new communities places little interest in the problems of water run offs management and there is no government entity that does a thorough monitoring of this issue. We live in abject denial most of us of the consequences of a disaster happening due to our complacency. The environmental impact assessment study of long term impact is almost  unheard of in most cases or is bought and paid for to ease the permit of allowing a project to be carried out. Bottom line there is money to be made all around.

On the international scene, wars are still being fought and a few major ones is brewing or so it seems according to the various news on the Internet. Russia and the United States are still playing the 'Russian roulette' over the Ukraine issue among others. China and the US are playing cat and mouse games over who has the largest satellites or the tiniest with the fate of Taiwan being thrown in as a pawn. In the Middles East the Muslim countries are at each other throats with the help of Western munitions and intelligence at the art of sowing discord and mayhem. Parts of South Africa is becoming a tinderbox waiting to be fully lit and in India, the Muslims are being targeted for extermination with the blessings of the ruling party...one could go on like what is happening in Myanmar and so forth. In the meantime th number of displaced people is phenomenal all over the world and the cry for help is falling upon deaf ears. This is what 2019-2021 was like and would probably continue to do so and it would take a Divine intervention or a catastrophic global disaster to make for a Global change what COVID19 failed to achieve.
