Marang - Buai Beach Resort

The location of the Buai Beach Resort on the right hand side of the Marang River mouth if you are headed out to the South China Sea is most idelic in its beauty as well.the surrounding environment. There was a time in my life when I had the opportunity to work or practically managed this facility which was back when it was left almost to its own demise. I fell in love with its beauty but had less to say of its poor management.
Buai resort is located about twelve miles from the town of Kuala Terengganu and  a stone's throw from  Kapas Isalnd which lies across from its beach in the South China Sea. These photos were take quite recently and so i hope the service is allot better too, but don't take my words for it,
The resort is located in a mangrove environment which gives it its unique character  which is ideal for foreigners who are out to experience dwelling in a mangrove swamp but with class.
The Marnag River  mouth is quite a scenic view in itself as many fishing boats  makes this small town their mooring base thus adding color to the  life and scene here,,, fresh seafood!
Tour boats can be taken from the Marang Jetty for the trip to Kapas Island which would take roughly about forty minute if the sea is not rough. When is season 'candat sotong'  or squid fishing which takes place at night is one of the fun sports that one might try to get into here, its fun. You can rent a fishing boat in a group and spend the night out at sea untill you are sick and tired of pulling up squids from the depth of the sea.
Not too far from Marang is Chendering, another small fishing village or maybe not so small today as it has the Fisheries institute there now, but it another good spot for a quiet swim with the family as the water is relatively safe especially during the calm mornings at low tides. So check it out, the long stretch of beach with white clean sand what have you got to loose? I grew up here I know its a great place!
