The Heart Sutra - 2

As science and spirituality are headed on a collision course that will generate the Bigger Bang, the study of the teachings of the Buddha has become more and more challenging and relevant as Buddhism is a spiritual science and not a religion. The Buddha Shakyamuni was a researcher into the vast cosmic consciousness of the human mind and how to navigate towards such an understanding that most lay man would understand. The Buddha did not set out to claim himself lord and master of the Universe, he brought the reality of the universal mind to the human level like a science teacher. In the Hindu tradition, the Buddha was a Maverick, a rebel, an agnostic who saw the abusiveness of religious practices and the exploitation of the ignorant by the keepers and caretakers of the faith. He was not satisfied with the answers he got from the Yogis and wise men of His time and sought the ultimate truth towards the liberation of the human spirit from the bondage of ignorance. And what he finally came to the conclusion is that form is emptiness and that emptiness is itself form. That nothing truly exist independently on its own.

This realm of our existence to the Buddha is all an illusion, things are not what they seemed and depending on how it is looked at, nothing truly exist other than the forms of emptiness like atoms fluttering in the expanse of space itself. The Buddha set out to prove the existence of human consciousness at the highest level, where it is the creator of the universe itself just as science is discovering in Quantum Physics, the affects of an observer upon an experiment. The super human consciousness is able to penetrate beyond the veils of forms and emptiness into the very essence of the cosmos itself and beyond;Gate, Gate, Paragate, Parasamgate...
When the Buddha declares in the Vedantic tradition, I Am That or Tat Tvam Asi, He is declaring Himself creation itself. His form is emptiness and His emptiness is His form. Only the Buddha never declared, I Am That, as a matter of fact His final words, " I, Am No More." The Ego, the personality the entity, the form has seized to exist and form and emptiness has merged into One, hence space is not empty as science in rpoving it today; it is both full and empty.

This is my naive take of the Buddha's teaching of the Heart Sutra put in lay man's terms. I am sure greater minds has and will continue to discover deeper and more correct understanding of this great thought provoking  insightful teaching for the benefit of this Dharma ending age. Buddhism at its highest level of understanding is Quantum physics at its essence, where spirituality and science become One, God exist as the observer. Hence back to the mundane reality of my existence the journey towards self realization will keep on happening until I can come to an understanding that I too am a Buddha and I too am creating my own existence, my own universe; that I too am beyond creation and dissolution, beyond form and emptiness. Gone, Gone, Gone beyond the concept of the word Gone...

#Heart Sutra, Hanya Shingyo, Quantum physics.
