The Wedding -Part 1

The primary intention of having a wedding is not just to get two people who love each other and decided to tie the knot, but it is also a reason for getting all the families and friends of everyone involve together and have a great time. A Malay wedding does just that and it gets merrier as time goes on and weddings has become so elaborate that it has been upgraded from its original form to what it is today. Hence it was at the wedding of my niece in Shah Alam that i got to meet my sister who had been visiting Kuwait of r the past two months.

Weddings like everywhere else in the world are times when one tries to look in one's best especially the ladies even if they have nothing to do what soever with regard to the event except being a guest. Seated here for the picture taking are a few of my cousin sisters, the ladies who  you do not want to mess around with when it comes to the subject of homemaking, they represent their own clans like queens. They shake their fingers and the men usually dance to the tune.

One the extreme left, my cousin Zakaria whose daughter was getting married and on th farthest right is his youngest brother Mat Isa,  i got them to pose for this picture because chances are this will not happen again and so it is nice to have them together like this in one shot as they all practically grew up under the same roof when we were kids. No man I have come to know in my life spends his time and money more on making others happy than my cousin Zakaria. He is to me a well rounded man who has struggled to where he is today, a very successful man both in the material as well as the spiritual sense and maintained his humility and love for his family and friends.

From far and near they will come in the next couple of days converging onto this home where the big event will take place, this is when the KKL folks will have a chance to catch up with the Penang folks and everyone looks forward to having a great time.
The highest happiness on earth is marriage.  ~William Lyon Phelps
