My Malaysia 3

Many of us in Malaysia are either stuck in a rut of political indecisiveness or disillusioned by how corrupted our leaders really are and it is scary to say the least. To wake up to the reality of such a nightmare after years of slumber is indeed very regretful; having placed so much confidence in those we elected in the past we became complacent and careless. The war drums are being hammered to the tune of political survival for the ruling party and the opposition is bound and determined to march to Putra Jaya ill equipped as they are but better the devil you know, as the 'Man' said, yes he should know as he had led these devils for some twenty odd years. As more and more skeletons are being dragged out of the political closets the image of our leaders are something of a horror show worthy of an Indian movie of betrayal and exploitations of greed hate and ignorance.
What is going to happen in the next few months is anyone's guess, but it is not going to be something worth looking forward to and does not matter anymore which side wins. Change will take place no doubt but change for the better of worse is yet to be seen as everything is up for grabs as far as the government is concern; nothing is sacred anymore as more and more people are feeling the disgust of being betrayed. I watched the videos of what is going on in the parliament and felt like my country is being run by a bunch of self serving clowns male and female alike each out to chew the other's throat at the drop of a hat while debating about the fate of the nation and nothing seems to materialise in any form of cohesive, creative conclusion.; it is lie watching a dogfight in the RSPCA the yelling and screaming with not much being really said about anything.
Now there is a massive rally at the Putra World Trade Center as the ruling party (UMNO) delegates gather to hash out what needs to be done in order to stay in power. As most observers points out it is more of an opposition bashing gathering than one that really needs to sit quietly and deliberate what went wrong and how things can be mended. how to work with true grit and honesty and win the hearts of the people back again; no sir, lets give em hell! Lets pull out of our sleeves our finest trick and see if the people can still be fooled like they have been all these years; and as the 'Man' said, "Melayu mudah lupa!", yes, the Malays easily forgets!
This day and age Malaysia" hope lies in the hands of the computer-wise younger generation as most of the antics being exposed of how bad things are and who is to blame for what is being uploaded into the Internet for their perusal; if they can be pursuade to spend a little time to look away from the sidetracks of video games and triple Xs websites. The younger generation of today, those of the voting age will make a great difference towards the outcome of the GE13; the days of the old war lords and war horses are numbered.
But the young has to awaken to the reality of the situation and act in accordance to their own perception not through imitating those of their elders or through being influenced by the fears that is being sewn by those presently in power; those with their own agendas. The GE13 is not too far from happening, it is up to us all to wake up and realize why we need to act and act ofr the benefit of the whole through our own self reflections and discovery. We are a rich ethnically diverse nation, let it work for us and not be used against us; lest we be frowned upon by those who gave their lives for the sake of this nation. Let us take some time off from our daily routine and dwell deeply into how we can bring th great nation, small in size as it is back onto its destination of Peace and Prosperity a vision that was set for 2020.
