A Drive to the Dubai Marina with Jason

Jason is one of my son's closest friend if not "the closest" he has and they had been together as pilots from almost the beginning of their careers while flying in the United States for the various Airlines there. I always enjoyed his company as he is in his own way 'spirutal seeker too; so we have some common ideas to talk about.
Out of the kindeness of his heart J decided to take me out of the villa for a drive and a lunch somewhere at the Dubai marina, an area I later realized that i have not really explored in my past visits. The architectural views along the way as we approach the Marina area was mesmerizing as most visitors to Dubai will testify. It makes you feel like you are driving through a museum of architecture or an 'architectural expo'.
However there is ongoing construction at every turn which sadly enough mars the scenic views otherwise. From the comments made by J the progress it seems is slow as for one reason or another the workers mostly from India or Bangladesh and Pakistan it seems are not into getting things done with entusiasm to put it mildly.
The LRT service station has somewhat of a futuristic design and when completed will be very beneficial to the whole area making connections of the whole surrounding smaller towns to the Dubai City Center much more convenient.
The Burj Khalifa commands a sight from whichever direction one look at it and like it most of the Dubai skyline is a sight to behold as far modern day cities are.
When in Rome! ,Have a good Pizza, with extra anchovies!
