Enter The Year Of The Tiger....

A few days ago an Orang Asli (the Aborigine or the forest people) was mauled by a tiger and survived after he threw a punch and a stone at it, but he suffered some serious gashes from the incident. A day or two later the Tiger was found dead shot and had blowpipe arrows stuck in it. It was also discovered that the Tiger had lost one of its paw from trying to break free from a trap set by the same Orang asli and a few of his companions. It was learned that the tiger attacked the man when he and his friends went to collect the carcass of the tiger thinking it was already dead. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to the Year of the Tiger and animal more ferocious than the bear or the even the lion, some say. An animal on the very brink of extinction fighting for its survival in the ever diminishing natural habitat due to logging and mass cropping of oil palm and rubber estates. Thanks to our sense of sustainable coexitence between man and the rest of the species that inhabit this planet we are doing a damn good job at eliminating all our prime competitors, Walla! we are at the top of the food chain and Damn! God is still on Our side!

The Tiger is a symbol of power and fearlessness and is carried on our banners and logos as such and it is an animal most feared and respected in the forest and rarely does one hear of it attacking man unless it had probable cause. But man on the other hand has no qualms about getting a piece of the Tinger simply because each and every part of this majestic creature can fetch a lucrative price in the market. To the Chinese tradititonal doctor a tiger is worth every hair on its body and each and every part has a medicinal value not to mention the fact fact that simply because of its animal nature the Tiger is much sought after for its spitrit. Man destroys what he loves most and everyone in the east loves the Tiger for one reason of another as the Chinese new year will testify to this in the manner in which the Tiger will be honored.

The political scenario on the island is not going too good as things are getting tight between those in the hot seats of power. The chief minister getting flacks from all around including his own feliow party members who has accused him of being a dictator among other things. The Malays are up in arms over a few of their illegally established business premises being torn down by the city council for the upgrading and beautification of the city. They the malays believe that they have been victims of prejudise as mostly only Malay stalls and roadside vendors were being targeted. Perhaps they are right in their assumptions but then again who can tell what is really going on when so much is happening at such a speed this need to develop to progress to clean up to look good. The developpers are sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for things to move so business can be done to everone's benifit especially theirs and so are those who stands to be able to line their pockets at the same time. Lets make hay while the sun shine and screw those poor bastards trying to survive day to day, if they cant take it they should move to the mainland! Lets turn this Island into another Singapore and why not? If they can do it in Singapore why cant we? Hell we can even turn this island into another Hong Kong if we want to.
So life goes on with or without you and it is a matter of time before go you or I and before the final curtain lets give ourselves a final scream like that of the thorn bird and exit this game with our head held high and our pride intactknowing deep within that we were not blind to all the injustices and the wrong doings of those who took advantage and exploited whatever was available just because they were in the position to. We in our own words and action have delivered our message to them and to our fellow countrymen who like us have watched all the wayangs and the shanagans that those in power have played upon this nation and we pray that the AlMighty in HIS INFINITE POWER AND WISDOM will wrought His brand of justice upon this nation just as He has been doing upon those nations that has lost their sense of humanity and compassion towards one another in the persuit of wanting more and better just simply because... Insha"ALLAH!!

Accidentally, I found your blog. Having limited vocabs and didnt excel in my English class, most of the time I got lost in your philosophical quotes, that I got confused to whether was I reading a blog of an artist or a philologist, or a politician or philanthropist or spiritualist or and or and or... Somehow, I find your blog interesting. I've been following it for a couple of months.
